Between them, they not only shared the love for food, drinks, and all the finer things in
life, they shared a vision of a resto-bar that changed the paradigm of chennais nightlife.
Mr.Shibu Raj who has 12 years experience in the leadership level in the hospitality and
resort segment and Mr.Katta who has 20 years experience building a business to great
heights are the cofounders of this dream come true project.
Their great attention to detail , ability to think out of the box and their travel around the
world is the inception of dank. An expert in their own field, Their innate understanding of
hospitality, vast knowledge, in varied fields , brand building ,marketing along with the
stellar customer service is the secret recipe of Dank’s success.
The Dream Dank Team
We wanted a premium bar that exudes class, serves the city's finest drinks, gourmet food as well as comfort food.
The ground floor depicts the moose's journey across the moorelands. The wall hangings represent the different facets of the moose and the high ceiling will simply take your breath away.
The mezzanine floor's wall mural is the moose's fondness for pizzas, an ode to our stone owen pizzas.
The first floor with its bright open space and greenery adorning the walls and skirting the floors is the perfect romance of a cafe and a bar.
Late Chef soundarrajan: Late Dr Chef Soundarrajan was an internationally acclaimed chef. Recipient of the honorary doctorate from Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and the golden star award amongst other accolades, Dr chef Soundarrajan had an exemplary talent of training and setting up a stellar kitchen team. He was instrumental in setting up Dank’s menu. With an innate understanding of the brand, he curated the menu and played a pivotal role in setting up of the kitchen.
This young and energetic chef, The recipient of the prestigious president of
India award for the best chef is a part of our Dream Dank Team! Chef Saby is the Magic behind the Dank Menu. His innovation and a contemporary twist of even the simple onion rings are noteworthy.
The Service Team
The Service team comprises of multicultural staff. They boast of experience from some of the finest 5 Star and 7 Star properties and cruise. They ensure that all guests enjoy the remarkable Dank experience.
You can see them sitting in training classes during the lean hours painstakingly practicing the Service flow or experimenting with molecular mixology in the bar or shooting instagram reels! Whatcan we say?
